Ryan Philippi is a filmmaker, sound artist, and production sound recordist originally from St. Paul, Minnesota. He holds a BA in Art and English from the University of Minnesota and is currently an MFA candidate in film/video at CalArts, working to complete his thesis (and first feature), The Garden.

He is also working as a sound designer on California Company Town, a feature length experimental documentary by Lee Anne Schmitt and dreaming about finding the time to complete a collection of field recording- based multi-channel sound compositions.
